129) Home

I just got home last night, after an extremely hectic last week in Korea. I had no idea my last week would be so insane, and as a result I wasn’t able to say good-bye to, and do half the other things I needed to do. Anyways, in the end, the flights weren’t too bad at all, and I got some good seats, but not much sleep. My mom and brother picked me up from the airport in a limo, and it was nice to see about 6 inches of snow on the ground at home.

It felt kind of surreal to be coming home. I had been away from home, and not seen anyone for just over 17 months, so I was ready to be heading home. It’s funny how it seems like not too much has changed around here. Now I have a lot of visiting friends and family to do!

128) The Days In-between

The days in-between finishing work and going home have been pretty busy, and at the same time without some of the usual stress. I have been busy trying to meet up with people and hanging out, and tying up some loose ends. But it has been nice not having to worry about work or any of that.

These pictures are from a night out last weekend. Some are from a rooftop in Itaewon, some are from Namdaemune (a place Amber and I have managed to go to every weekend for the past three or four weeks), and the others are from Hongdae at a bar called Liquid, which a friend of David and I works at/owns.

126) Coming to a Close (part 2)

I finished teaching on Friday. I haven't really had the time to reflect on the one full year that has gone by, and that is not what this post is about. This is just some more pictures...

125) Coming to a Close (part 1)

This is my last week of teaching. For the most part I happy to be finishing up- don’t get me wrong, I will miss some of the kids for sure. Having said that, there are some kids I will be glad to not have to see anymore.

The kids in these pics were certainly some of my favorites, and they will be missed very much. These little guys were usually one of the highlights of my week- so much energy and beauty in them!
