170) Behind the Scenes

Here are a bunch of "behind the scenes" pictures from a photo shoot today. Almost all of these pictures were taken my friend by Maro (he is pictured here- no hat). So if you like the pics, the credit goes to Maro! The photographer is my friend Nein (Chang Wook). He is a really great photographer (refer to the previous post- those are his pics!).

Hopefully I will get back the actual shots from this shoot and post those later this coming week.

I will try to continue to post some pics of me for those of you who haven't seen me in a couple months, and wont be able to see me for months to come (friends and family in the states).

168) Stayin Busy

Lately I have been staying really busy, which has been nice because there has rarely been a dull moment since I have been back! I have been spending all my time with my friends, meeting new people, at work or at the gym.

I think not having the internet has kinda forced me to keep busy. I have pretty much no reason to be home unless I want to watch tv (which is rare) or to sleep.

The only down side is sometimes I feel like my life is non-stop, but more than anything I am grateful to have my friends and my life!

Lately there have been some great opportunities coming my way, and it has been hard to find time to do everything and meet everyone I want. But again, I am just very grateful, and not complaining!

Now I have the internet and plan on being able to post regularly. I have a pretty big back up of pictures, so keep an eye out for those!

167) Update and Some Pics

Well, still no internet in my apartment, and the prospect of going to a PC room is always unappealing to me. But here I am- just wanted to get a small update and a few pics up.

Lately Seoul has been having beautiful weather! The weather mixed with my job continuing to go well has been really great!

I have finally been getting out and taking pictures again. I was going through a little slump with it when I first got back- but now that I have settled into a routine (kinda) I have been shooting a lot more.

I am happy to be experimenting with different styles this time. For three weeks in a row I have been able to shoot at some clubs- club photography is really challenging, but also fun. I took a stab at some fashion style photography, which again was fun, but difficult. And then of course there are my students and the flowers- two of my favorite subjects!

166) Cherry Blossoms

Sorry for anyone looking to stay updated with me recently, but I still have no internet in my apartment, and I don’t like writing these blogs on other computers, and just haven’t had much time to spend in coffee shops.

So, for the most part things are going very well. Work is going good, and I am loving my new apartment and neighborhood. There is a big market behind my house that has almost everything I need, including my gym that has a sauna in it as well. It is nice to be able to relax in the sauna after a workout.

Things are still pretty hectic for me around here, there are so many things to be done, and people I still haven’t seen since I have been here. Pretty much every free moment has been spent doing something or meeting someone, which is nice, but also very busy. I have been actually waking up to my alarm lately, something that I rarely do. In the past if I set my alarm I usually wake up right before it goes off.

I also haven’t been too active with photography, but I hope that will change soon. Seoul is becoming really beautiful with budding trees and cherry blossoms. The Cherry Blossom festival started yesterday, and it was really nice to get back there and check that out. The down side was massive amounts of people, and combining that with the average Korean persons in-ability to walk normally can get aggravating. But I was in a good mood so it didn’t bother me much. I hope to get back there a couple more times while everything is still so beautiful!
